70-270

hi guys,
just a quick question, does anyone know yet if microsoft plan to retire exam 70-270 in the near future?

I've just started my MCSE 2003, and did a bit of research into this prior to starting.

As far as i can see, MS have no plans to retire 70-270 yet. If you look on the MS page for MCSE/MCSA (http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en...mcse.aspx#tab2)

You can see that any exam with a little "1" next to it, is due for retirement in Oct 31st 2010.

70-270 is not one of those....at the moment.

Apparently the retirement of exams co-insides with when support for a product retires.



You'll be safe for a bit yet...least i hope so because i'm in the same boat. LOL

As far as I know MS keeps two versions of a product in the examination tracks, so expect to find xp being listed to go retired when the successor for windows 2008 is out. I think it is save to say that it won't be the case until 2012.

Hi guys,
I m new on this site. I recently passed my comptia A+ and want to start mcse and want to prepare 70-270 paper. Can some one suggest me which book is best to read and any suggestions and can guide me which material is helpful for preparation and passing exam.

Best advice is to use the Microsoft Self Paced Training Kit in combination with another examspecific book. Sybex is good.
