Microsoft is offering a 45 day trial of virtualpc (basically vmware)
You can install multiple virtual servers on one physical computer, for my 70-296 preparation I had a total of 4 domain controllers and 1 xp client up and running at the same time, while only using 2 physical pc's.

That way you can setup a lab for hands on experience, without having to disrupt your current installations, or getting any new equipment.
